We are pleased to present a list of camps if you are looking for camps specializing in soccer.  (To list your camp on our site, click here.)  These listings are intended for informational purposes only. We encourage parents to investigate further to insure suitable supervision and residential care. Whenever possible, contact the Camp Director to secure this information.

While we have to approve the inclusion of a camp on this list, AYSO Area 1-P and Region 76 do not take responsibility for these camps, nor do we recommend or endorse camps.     Harvard-Westlake Gold Medal Sports Camps Harvard-Westlake
    Richard Simms    		 This intermediate-to-advanced soccer skills camp is perfect for girls looking to improve their individual soccer skills. Enrollment is limited to ensure a low player-to-coach ratio. The camp will address fundamental technical and tactical skills with a focus on footwork, developing confidence and creativity with the ball, and combination play in small spaces. Additional topics include physical and mental preparation, injury prevention and tactical awareness. The Harvard-Westlake swimming pool will also be used for a recreational time during the day to allow campers to cool off. All soccer will be played on Harvard-Westlake's state of the art artificial surface. Coach Richard Simms is the 2006 CIF Division I Coach of the Year, 2006 Daily News Girls' Soccer Coach of the Year and the Director of Girls' Soccer at Harvard-Westlake for grades 7-12. He has nine years of summer camp experience including four years as a soccer camp director.

The Striker camp is open to all field players as we believe goals should and do come from all positions on the field. We focus on small sided games forcing players to play under pressure and make quick decisions. This also prevents players from hiding on the field as they might do in a full sided game. Players are forced to get involved with the game and take some responsibility. For a Goalkeeper this creates a dynamic situation forcing them to constantly make adjustments and decisions. As well as dealing with many shots not otherwise possible in a full sided game. This format also increases the demands for the Goalkeeper to use their feet. Yari is currently a club coach with the Westside Breakers. The camp is held at a private field on the VA Grounds in Westwood with an 8 to 1 coach/player ratio. Campers are divided by age and ability and follow the general curriculum: Structured Warm up and Cool down; Speed and Agility Training; Technical Skills (Moves, Passing, Receiving, Dribbling, Shooting); 1 v 1, 2 v 2, Small Sided Games; Possession Training; Scrimmage Full Sides to Goals or Small Sided to Goals; Barefoot Soccer; and, Soccer Tennis.

Soccer Camp is based at the CPI Heredia campus, located in the Central Valley of Costa Rica. Led by Carlos Granados, a professional Costa Rican soccer coach, the camp offers participants the chance to see how Latin American soccer players prepare and train. The camp focuses on improving players soccer skills in a fun but challenging environment. All afternoon and weekend excursions are led by a professional Tico naturalist guide, and CPI's bilingual staff is always on hand to assist with any questions that students may have.
